Terms of service
Use Quire to turn your own data into documents, keep your API keys private, don't use it to make fraudulent documents or abuse the service, and pay for paid plans if you use them.
Last updated: 4 October 2026. By creating an account or using the Quire PDF API, CLI, SDKs or MCP server ("Quire"), you agree to these terms.
Your account and keys
You sign in with an email address you control. Keep your API keys private: anyone with a key can use your quota. You're responsible for usage under your keys. Revoke a key you think is exposed with npx quirepdf-cli keys revoke.
Acceptable use
Don't use Quire to:
- create forged or fraudulent documents, such as invoices, receipts or certificates presented as genuine when they aren't;
- create content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is meant to deceive or harm;
- get around rate limits or quotas, for example with many free accounts, or overload the service;
- probe, scan or attack the service or its users.
We may suspend keys or accounts that break these rules, usually after contacting you unless the harm is urgent.
Your data and documents
You own the data you send and the documents Quire produces. You give us permission to process that data only to render and validate your documents. We don't store it; see the privacy policy.
Plans and payment
The free plan includes a monthly number of renders with no card. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions sold through our merchant of record, Dodo Payments, which charges any applicable tax and issues invoices. Only successful renders count. When a quota runs out, renders pause until the next calendar month (UTC) or until you upgrade; nothing is billed automatically beyond your plan. You can cancel anytime and keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. For refund requests, write to support@quirepdf.dev.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Quire fast and available but don't guarantee uninterrupted service, especially on the free plan. We may change features, templates, limits or prices. Price changes for paid plans apply from your next billing period, with notice by email.
Disclaimer and liability
Quire is provided "as is". Check documents before relying on them; you're responsible for what you send to customers. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Ending your use
You can stop using Quire and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end accounts that break these terms. Sections about ownership, disclaimer and liability survive the end of your use.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date above when these terms change, and email account holders about significant changes. Continuing to use Quire after a change means you accept it.
